This project began with a visit to Tønsberg in the southern islands of Norway for an intensive three-day brainstorming sessions, a study in to Norwegian sales culture, and even a lunchtime break sailing around the fjords.

Being an outsider is often very beneficial.  It gives us a chance to see and question things that people inside a company take for granted.  In this case, it was fairly easy to see that the number of options available (while brilliant for product versatility) complicated product purchase for the uninitiated.

We split the products by home and commercial and then in to sectors, which gave us good SEO coverage and a fast and simple user experience.  By also creating all-in-one packages and displaying product examples which list the components, users can now quickly understand what they need and head for the checkout.

We’re also involved in a range of POS production, and creating a model for art retailers to sell the product through their own sites.
